The basic mopping mode uses the same reservoir of water as the vacuuming mode. While this is great for spills that aren't too big but you cannot regulate the amount of water it consumes which can limit its effectiveness for more serious staining. It's effective at picking up hair from pets. It has a higher pick-up rate than the Roborock S7.

Miele's RX2 robotic vacuum is known for its quiet, efficient appliances. It is a stunning design, a great navigation system, and excellent cleaning power. But it has a few operational oddities that prevent it from being ranked as the top overall smart robot vacuum.
Similar to the latest models of iRobot like the RX2 features dual-sensor mapping which uses a LIDAR sensor to map the space and two 3D scanning cameras that can detect and avoid obstacles (like furniture legs or pet waste) in real-time. After the room has been mapped, you can assign virtual no-go zones and preferred sections to the robot. You can also begin an automatic clean or manually change the cleaning mode, view live feeds from the onboard cameras, and more on the main screen.
The sensors of the RX2 work well, registering furniture and other obstructions in real-time. Its sweeping and suction powers are exceptional, getting rid of surface litter from medium pile carpeting as well as dust that has been deposited on floors. It's not the fastest robotics available. As with many others, it's not a good climber and has issues with things like thresholds made of metal transition strips.

In our tests, it easily moved over large shag rugs and didn't get stuck on them (like the RoboVac 11s or Roomba 690). Its navigation skills were impressive. Its composite score for flooring and carpet was higher than the competition, and it was able to pick up 98.5% of pet hair from our lab test samples.
Its controls are a bit simpler than the competition; there's a round cleaning button on the top and you can access it via the app or via voice commands using Alexa or Google Assistant. You can also set a schedule for weekly or daily cleans, create no-go zones, and view its history of cleaning. Clad in smart dark gray plastics, Ion feels sturdy and looks attractive in your home. The rear dust bin is easy to empty and removing the filter the same.
5. Eufy 11S
Eufy 11S is a great option for those looking for a vacuum cleaner that is easy to use and has no frills at a cost that is low. This model lacks some smart features such as Alexa integration and digital mapping that are found in more expensive models. If you don't require these features, you could save money.
This robot is simple to set up and use. It does not require a smartphone application or Wi-Fi pairing, but it does have the ability to control the remote with a remote that lets you select different modes and adjust the suction level. It also lets you manually turn off the robovac on a scheduled cleaning.
In our tests, the 11S was very effective at cleaning pet hair and dirt on hard floors and in carpets with low pile. Its slim profile made it possible to fit under furniture with low hanging and other items that heavier robots were unable to get at. It was able to pass easily over thresholds of doors and move between floors of different types to another.
The 11S, just like other robots, will also eat some objects, such as cords and cat toys. The manufacturer states that you can avoid this by keeping these items off the floor and using an organizer for cords if you can. It also recommends cleaning the dustbin regularly, replacing the filters and washing or changing the brushes as needed.

The Roomba 980 is the flagship robot vacuum. It's pricey but it's top-performing and is arguably the most sophisticated robot vacuum you can purchase. Its self-navigation as well as environmental mapping is something to behold.
